OK soooo finally I managed to choose an appropriate template (...however don't be surprised if I change it again lol!). I'm usually like this: I take AGES till I make up my mind just because I want to have everything well-prepared & under control. Yeah...I know there's a particular word to describe my pyschopathology, however I better not mention it...it's yet too early to go into so much detail: after all it's still my first blog & I don't want to shoo anyone away right from the start!!!!

...the reason why I decided to start this blog is simple: in a week's time I'll be in Virginia to start off my one-in-a-lifetime-opportunity i.e. spending the whole Fall semester at George Mason University. Way back in December 2005 I was chosen amongst several students to participate in this direct exchange program. Well, I just thought it was worth backing up my day-to-day experience, not just for my own sake but also as a way to connect with the people who I left in Malta.
...and NO! The trip & all its expenses were NOT free!
